Other times you are just wondering what to do with those left-over tortillas from taco night.
Here is a quick and easy recipe for a hot and gooey delicious chocolate snack that takes less than 5 minutes to make.
Bring your dates home for dessert and really impress 'em with this one. You can lick the chocolate off each others fingers...
Use flour tortillas for the Chocodillas, as many as you and your friend(s) can eat. If your tortillas have been in the bag for a while, you can moisten one side - butter the other side. Real butter is best, Vegans can substitute at will.
Get the griddle or frying pan warm. Use a medium heat. Do not put oil in the pan!
Place the tortilla butter side UP onto the griddle.
Immediately spread a handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips over the tortilla. Try to even them out but that is not too important. More critical is to not let any fall onto the pan, because burned chocolate is nobody's idea of a good smell.
The chips will melt quickly, but while they are warming dust with cinnamon (or I use cinnamon sugar mix I get in the spices section at Walgreens for cheap. Has a thousand uses...)
When the Chocodilla is all melted, fold it over and remove from the pan. If you used a large tortilla, cut it up in wedges.
Serve with coffee or hot chocolate, fresh strawberries on the side if you REALLY want to impress that date~~
Choc-olé!
